A Tale of Sleepy Bunnies
Once upon a time, once upon a time. Once upon a time, there lived five little white bunnies who looked just like each other. They were so small and sweet that everyone who saw them could not help loving them. These five little bunnies loved to rest and sleep. In fact, they loved it so much that they wanted it to be evening soon. When it was nine o’clock in the evening, they knew it was time to sleep. At nine o’clock they all put on their nightgowns and ran to their rooms.
The first rabbit would call his mother and ask her to sing him a lullaby. Her mother did not disappoint her and sang her lullaby immediately.
The second little rabbit wanted to sleep in his mother’s arms. He couldn’t fall asleep without smelling her scent. His mother knew this, so every evening she would come to him, hug him and rock him to sleep. This was the white bunny’s favorite moment. He loved his mother’s scent so much that when she hugged him and inhaled that scent, he would close his eyes and sleep soundly.
The third white rabbit wanted to sleep with the sound of “piş piş”. While his mother was putting the second rabbit to sleep, she would sing the “piş piş” lullaby to the third rabbit.
The fourth rabbit put on his nightgown. He too asked his mother to tell him a story. His mother came to his bedside and told him the fairy tale “The Bird and the Ant”, which he wanted and loved very much. The story was as follows:
“One day, a tiny ant got up early in the morning and went in search of food. He liked the morning hours of the day the best, because that was when all the animals were asleep and he could roam freely. That morning, however, there was another family that got up before him; it was a family of birds. The little ant started to watch the bird family through the trees. The mother bird had gathered food for her chicks and was feeding them with her mouth. After feeding her babies, the mother bird caressed their heads and sat next to them. This sight made the little ant very sad, because she had never been so loved. The little ant was touched and started to cry.
The mother bird heard the ant’s sad voice and looked around. Seeing the ant crying, the mother bird went up to it and asked: ‘Why are you so sad? Why are you crying? The little ant told the mother bird what it had seen. The mother bird was very touched and while thinking about what she could do for the little ant, she came up with an idea. She immediately flew away. The ant was even sadder, but it stayed where it was.
After a while, the ant saw the mother bird approaching it in the air and waited with curiosity. The mother bird brought soil for the ant and built a nest next to her own nest. ‘Now you can stay with us too. You can be part of our family too,’ she said. The little ant was very happy to hear this and accepted. She spent the rest of her life with her bird family.”
Without waiting for the end of the story, the little bunny has already closed his eyes.
The fifth rabbit put on his nightgown and went to his room. He didn’t ask his mother for anything. ‘I’m grown up now, Mommy, I want to go to sleep by myself,’ he says. He kisses his mother and father, says good night to his siblings and falls asleep. In his dreams, he was always with the ones he loved the most. This made her very happy.
The five bunnies slept so happily that they were always smiling when they woke up in the morning. They gave their parents a big hug and spent their day in such happiness. This is the end of this tale.
